The IRFU Charitable Trust Indoor Rowing Team is made up of former players who came together in 2019 in an attempt to raise much needed funds for the 36 seriously injured players.
The players wanted to undertake a very difficult challenge as a mark of respect and solidarity with their injured team mates. This they have found in taking on and beating two (2019 & 2021) team World Records on the dreaded indoor rowing machine this sense of challenge and team work.
They currently hold World Records as over 40's for 100 kilometers with an average time of 1 minute 24 seconds for 500 metre pace and in the 24 hours World record where 470 kilometers was covered at an average pace of 1 minute 30 seconds for 500 meters was achieved.
